Every women wants soft luscious lips. So people who have dark lips want to lighten them. There are several factors that can cause your lips to get darker.  1. LEMON is very well known for its natural bleaching property. It can not only remove the dark patches, it also can lighten dark lips. Take half slice of lemon and sprinkle some sugar on it. Scrub this on your lips and wash it off. Do this once a week. One more way is, take few drops of lemon, apply it on lips and leave it overnight. Do this at-least for 2 to 3 months to see the changes.

 2. OLIVE OIL contains many essential nutrients which can be used in many ways for your body. Apply olive oil daily before hitting the bed. It moisturizes your lips and helps you to get back the pink shine on your lips.

 3. SUGAR is a great ingredient to exfoliate your lips which helps you to remove the dead cells and make it soft. You can mix sugar with small amount of lip balm (Vaseline) and scrub it lightly twice a week. Or it can be mixed with few drops of honey and lemon juice and can be scrubbed over the lips as honey provides moisture to your lips and hydrate it.

 4. BEETROOT has natural bleaching property. Grate some beetroot juice and apply it on to your lips before going to bed. The red color of the juice helps you to get back your pink lips. Follow this daily. And also you can add some carrot juice to it and apply the mixture. Leave this mixture for 20 min and wash it with luke warm water. Do this twice a week for a month or two. Another method is grate some beetroot and dry it under sun and make powder out of it. Add 2 tbs of olive oil and 1 tbs of bee wax and heat the mixture till the ingredients get mixed well. This mixture can be stored and used a tinted lip balm. J say bye bye to chemical wala lip balms.

 5. POMOGRANATE is another fruit where the juice can be applied on your lips. It nourishes and moisturizes dry and dehydrated lips and helps the lips restore its properties. Apply few drops of juice daily and leave it until it dries. It in fact acts as natural lipstick. You can leave alone the juice on your lips once it’s applied. If you feel it’s dry, you can mix Vaseline and pomegranate juice and store it in a container for a week in refrigerator and can be used as lip balm whenever it’s required.

 6. CUCUMBER is very well known for fading the scars and calming the skin. Take some cucumber juice and apply it overnight regularly on lips to see the difference.

 7. ALOE VERA is soothing, so it helps with chapped, irritated lips. Extract aloe vera gel from a fresh plant and store it in a clean and dry container. It should be store in fridge. This gel can be used a lip gel which lightens the lips. It can be also used as base gel, before applying lipstick so that the harsh chemicals of lipsticks will not harm your sensitive lips.

 8. HONEY has moisturizing property in it. Just apply raw honey on to your lips and leave it for 30 min and wash it off (I eat it off instead of washing LOL ;)). This helps to restore the original color of your lips. 

9. ALMOND OIL is an all-rounder. It can be used for the whole body. Rub some almond oil before hitting the bed, leave it overnight. It moisturizes your lips and makes it soft and supple.

 10. BERRIES such as strawberry, raspberry are rich in vitamins and minerals which is needed to keep your lips vibrant and soft. Mix raspberry with honey and aloe-vera gel and scrub it gently. Leave it for 20 min and rinse it off. This mixture should be applied 3 or 4 times a week. The next one is take some strawberry juice mix it with petroleum gel and use it as lip balm.
