       Coconut oil is a magical oil. The use of coconut oil is numerous. It can be used in cooking, can be used as natural medicines, for beauty treatments, and many more. People are discovering many benefits from coconut oil and let us see in which all ways this oil can benefit us.

COCONUT OIL AS MEDICINE:

   1.    This oil acts as an immunity booster. It has strong anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties in it. So these elements will help to boost immunity and make the human body stronger.

   2.    This oil is said to be one of the best oils to get a good night's sleep. As lavender oil or any essential oils, this also acts as a soothing and relaxing agent.

   3.    Coconut oil is used as a supplement for digestion. This oil is very easy to digest and it has the compounds that destroy the bacterial.

   4.   It also relieves bloating. Intake of one spoon of coconut oil in the morning or before bed helps to reduce the bloat.


COCONUT OIL IN FOOD:

In many of the south Indian recipes, extra virgin coconut oil is used instead of any other edible oils.


COCONUT OIL AS BEAUTY AGENT:

1.   As Body Moisturizer:

It can be applied to the body as a moisturizing lotion, which gives shine to the skin and makes it supple.

2.  As a Lip Balm

Coconut oil is very effective in soothing chapped lips. Store it in a cool dry place and rub it whenever necessary.

3.  As Body Scrub:

Mix half tbs of sugar or salt with a spoon of coconut oil and use it as a body scrub. This is much effective than chemically filled scrubs.

4.  As Under Eye Cream:

Use coconut oil as under eye cream for your sensitive eyes. Dab some oil under your eyes before hitting the bed.

5.  As Makeup brush cleaner:

Put 2:1 ratio of antibacterial soap and coconut oil respectively to cleanse your make up brushes.

6.  To whiten your teeth:

Take half a teaspoon of coconut oil with a pinch of baking soda and then you can see the magic in your smile.

7.  As Cuticle Oil:

Apply oil on your cuticle which can heal your cracked cuticle and also it helps your manicure last longer.

8.  As Mouth freshener:

Gargle 2 tbs of coconut oil for 20 min can clear up bad breath, kill germs, and whiten teeth.

9.  As Rash Cream:

Massage some coconut oil when you get rashes on your skin. It will soothe the skin instantly and calms it.

10. As Makeup Remover:

Dab a spoon of oil in a cotton pad, wipe all your make up using it. This oil removes even the waterproof make up as in mascara, eyeliners, foundations.         

11. As Insect Repellent:

Apply some coconut oil on your hands n legs, which protects you from insects. You can also mix some essential oils such as lavender oil, lemongrass oil, etc. which keeps insects at bay.
